The Work

The work that led here.

I've spent years being the person business owners hand their hardest problems to.

Not the glamorous work. The tangled work. The processes nobody wrote down. The follow-up that only happened when someone remembered. The decisions that always came back to the owner, because they were the only one who knew.

And after enough of it, I started seeing the same pattern everywhere I looked.

These businesses weren't struggling because the owner wasn't working hard enough. They were struggling because too much of the business lived in one person's head. The harder the owner worked, the more the business depended on them, and the less it could ever grow without them.

That's the problem I decided to build a business around solving.

What I actually do.

I'm Hannah Craigen, founder of inHaus & Co. I help founder-led service businesses get out of their own way.

I find the places where a business depends on its owner — the approvals, the answers, the "just ask me" decisions — and I replace them with clear, documented systems the team can actually run. I use AI where it genuinely makes the work lighter, but the goal is never "add more tech." The goal is a business that keeps working when the owner steps out of the room.

I call the process The Handoff Method: diagnose where the business depends on you, build documented workflows with a named owner and a clean handoff for each one, and set up the platform your team runs day to day. What's left is a business that runs without being carried.

The Approach

Why I do it this way.

I didn't come to this from theory. I came to it from doing the work — embedded inside real businesses, building systems from the inside, watching what actually made an owner able to step back versus what just looked good in a slide deck.

That's why I don't hand you a strategy document and disappear. Strategy that sits in a drawer doesn't change anything. I build the systems, name who owns them, and make sure they're still running long after our work together ends.

The measure of my work isn't whether it's impressive. It's whether it still works when I'm gone.
The Name

What's underneath the name.

There's a meaning behind "inHaus" that goes deeper than "in-house."

For me, the name is rooted in the idea that what matters most is the foundation a house is built on — in my home, a foundation of faith, service, and doing right by people. That's the same standard I bring to this work: build things that genuinely serve the people they're for, be honest about what's real and what isn't, and never dress up work to look like more than it is.

You don't have to share that foundation to work with me. But it's why I build the way I build, and it's why integrity isn't a marketing line here. It's the whole point.

The Belief
The belief I keep coming back to
Your expertise should shape your business. It shouldn't be the only thing holding it up.

You started your business to build something, not to become the bottleneck inside it. My job is to give you back the part of yourself that's currently spent remembering, approving, and answering — so you can do the work only you can do, and let everything else run without you.
