Questions, answered

Do I own my website?

Yes. You own the website I build for you once it's paid in full.

Do I own my domain?

Yes. You own your domain and renew it yourself.

Who renews my domain?

You do. If it lapses, the site goes down even though hosting is paid.

What else do I own?

You own your domain, your content, your photos, your customer lists and your Google Business Profile. The tools and systems I use to deliver the work are mine and are not transferred.

Do I have to pay for Website Care?

Yes. Website Care is $200 a month and comes with every site I build. A site I built is a site I maintain. If you'd rather host it elsewhere, cancel and I hand it over.

What does the $200 a month cover?

Website Care is $200 a month. It covers hosting, security, backups, and two small changes a month, like a photo swap or new hours. Unused changes don't roll over. New pages, layout changes, and new features are quoted separately. It's $150 when it's part of Monthly Marketing, and it's included in Everything Monthly.

Can I host the site myself?

Yes. If you cancel Website Care, I stop hosting and maintaining the site. Once the site is paid in full, I transfer it to an account you control, or give you a complete export of its files, at no charge. Send me a written request within 30 days of your last paid month, an email is fine, and I'll finish the handoff within 14 calendar days. Your site stays online until the handoff is finished, or 45 days after your last paid month, whichever comes first. Help beyond that handoff, like setting up new hosting, is quoted.

What happens if I cancel?

Monthly services end any time before your next billing date. The current month isn't refunded. Anything you paid before the kickoff call is fully refundable. After the kickoff call work has started, so it isn't.

How long does a website take?

Two to four weeks from the kickoff call. How fast it goes depends mostly on how quickly I get your content.

Why only two rounds of revisions?

Round one covers layout and structure. Round two covers content and copy. A third round is new work, and I quote it. A project needs an end point so the site can launch and start working for you.

Will I get calls?

I don't promise calls or rankings. A website gives people a clear way to call you. Getting Found is the Google work that helps them find you, and it takes about 90 days to show.

Is ad spend included?

No. Your ad budget is separate and goes straight to Google or Facebook on your own card. Management is quoted on the pricing page.

Who do I contact, and how fast do you reply?

Me. I reply within two business days, Monday through Thursday.
